Robert Redford: The Company You Keep

Produced by:
History, the need for actors to do research and know history, the ability of an actor to capture the soul of a character and the importance of telling stories are passions of Robert Redford, who has always encouraged pushing the envelope and exploring the universe in all creative fields.

Ordinary People. A River Runs through It. Quiz Show. Lions for Lambs. The Conspirator. Throughout his entire career as a director, Robert Redford's films have asked questions, about who we are and why we are the way we are.

His passion for the humanistic side of cinema has informed all of his work, most recently The Company You Keep, which stars Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Susan Sarandon and Nick Nolte. In this memorable interview, taped at the Sundance Sunset Cinemas in Los Angeles, Redford talks about many of the things that inspired him throughout his life as a filmmaker, from the Beat poets to Big Sur to California jazz.

This is Redford's first ever visit to The Treatment.
