Agents should rely only on commissions for work they submit you for. Do not pay an agent for services in any other way.

An agent should not require talent to use any particular service for photos, demo reels or any other tool of the trade. They can advise, but should provide a full list of qualified local vendors. This policy is continued from the Screen Actors Guild, because the only way an agent should make money from people they represent or submit, should be from commissions on the work talent receives from those submissions. Agents should not work in casting (background is exempt in some areas of the country) or in any other service than in the representation of talent. Contact SAG-AFTRA for details.
