Collective bargaining agreements are just that - they're "agreements" with terms brought about by labor and management collaboration. These agreements are not made in a vacuum, and are not "carte blanche" for workers. Collective bargaining agreements are there to provide a level playing field for workers - so they are not exploited for their work, and compensated fairly. Contrary to popular belief, there is accountability in collective bargaining, and these living documents are not "get out of jail free" cards.
